Insano wipes his face clean and quickly jumps up, aiming at Chick’s head.
I’m NOT. That’s why I can doTHIS!
As he screams the last words, he pulls the trigger of his weapon, releasing a blood red beam from it, that hits Chick right between her eyes, making the woman scream in agony.
Insano clenches his teeth as the gun burns through the last layer of his gloves and its heat flows through his entire right arm, making him drop the gun at the spot. He stumbles backwards and pushes Linksano back with his healthy arm.
As Insano pulls the trigger Chick desperately tries to channel her magic so that she can get away. However, the beam of death hits her before she has a chance. She screams, in more pain than she’s ever felt before. As the beam begins to eat though her skin she starts to yell an inhuman, deadly, curse but she never gets to finish it.
A second later all that’s left of Chick, in the clearing, is a few scraps of burnt robe and several melted and twisted knives. Of Chick herself, and the ring she was holding, there is no trace at all.
Before she can finish her sentence, he pushs the hot end of the gun on her forehead, making the metal burn into her skin.
He knees down infront of her and coldly stares into her eyes. This woman speaks way too much for his taste… he had to change that. He tightens the grip around the gun and starts to speak in a dangerously calm tone.Took you long enough to FIGURE OUT. But NO ONE else needs to know about THIS. Not yet. I DON’T want them to ask QUESTIONS right now.
He notices Linksano’s confused expression.
Later, Linksano. I WILL tell you all about this later. Don’t worry.
He turns back to Chick.
So, was this truly EVERYTHING you want to tell me? I’m a bit DISAPPOINTED, Chick…
Chick screams as the metal of the gun burns into her forehead. For the first time, there’s a look that could almost be called fear in her eyes as she looks at Insano and knows him for what he truly is. However, a second later the look is gone and she laughs in his face.
Well, well, well, kept that hidden didn’t you? Her eyes flicker to Linksano. What would he think if they knew? What would any of them think? Missy’s in for an unpleasant surprise isn’t she? Before I die, just explain to me how you, of all people, are somehow better than me?
She spits in his face and grabs her ring calling on the very last of her magic.
Insano still looks over to Zod and Mechakara, as the robot shouts over to them-
“I’m busy! I can’t understand you! And I don’t much care!”
Insano’s grin grows wider as he hears this and turns back to Chick.
As you see, NO ONE will help you out of this. Not even Mechakara. *huffs* You know, I thought about what I would DO to you, once I got you where you are right NOW. After all, I’m a MAD SCIENTIST… I would have some GOOD IDEAS about HOW I could make you feel ALL the PAIN your victims felt… for YEARS.
But then again… you’re not WORTH of my ideas. You’re not WORTH to put any kind of my SICK EFFORT into.
He chuckles darkly.

Chick grabs her jaw and forces a little of her remaining magic into it before yelling in a much clearer voice at Mechakara,
Didn’t your mother teach you not to play with your food? Stop messing about. If you’re going to kill him do it quickly then get over here! I’m calling in my favour. Help me kill the scientists and get out of here alive.

Chick’s eyes suddenly widen as she realises what she’d been about to say. She hadn’t even been thing about why she’d been struggling to sense Insano and then she’d almost said the answer without realising it.
Oh fucking Cthulhu, I can’t believe you’re… she starts to say.
Insano slowly walks over to her, grunting with every step he takes. Blood drips from his feet onto the ground.
He was not used to see without his goggles, but everything was certainly clearer now. Especially the blinking gun in his right hand, that slowly burned through his gloves.He slightly turns to where Zod and Mechakara are and wolf whistles in their direction. He stares over to them, his dark hair falling into his face, making him look a man who knows what he’s doing. At least he hopes so. This eitherway would go terribly wrong or it would work. Hopefully.
Echara Mm allin in i aour! (Mechakara I’m calling in my favour) Chick screams. Elp e et ou o ere aive un ill u ieniss (Help me get out of here alive and kill the scientists).
As the knife hurtles towards him, Linksano throws himself out of the way, landing on the ground a meter or two away from Chick. Snarling, he raises his blaster and fires in retaliation.Insano lays the ground, clenching his teeth and not knowing what to cover with his hands. He forces himself to look up, seeing through his slightly knocked-off goggles what’s happening.
His expression grows more and more aggressive with every second. He pulls his goggles off and stands up.WHERE DOTHINKYOU’RE GOING?
He lifts his gun and shoots, hitting Chicks feet with its beam.
Chick giggles twisting away from Linksano’s blast but it still burns the ends of her hair. She’s making a break for the trees when Insano shoots her feet. She goes down again screaming in pain.
He looks down for a moment, before looking Insano squarely in the face.
Wait it out. If it turns out that Zod needs our HELP, we can HELP him then. But whatever their argument IS, we won’t do them any good by getting OURSELVES involved where we’re not WANTED.
Fine then. We will WAIT.
Insano looks down to Chick again, who has an mixed expression of confusion and shock on her face.
Oh, don’t worry, we’ll get back to you as SOON as POSSIBLE.
Suddenly Chick knees Insano in the groin hard and twists out of his grip. She throws herself down and grabs her knife from the ground. She slashes viciously at Insano’s legs. Then rolls sideways throwing the knife at Linksano while still moving.
A moment later she is on her feet grabbing another knife from her robe.
Insano’s grin widens once more. To Linksano he says-
Stay back, this could get UGLY.
He pushes the button on the gun and he can feel the heat of the charging warming up his hand.
I don’t have to HIDE Chick. You just SUCK at magic, unlike OTHERS.
He walks closer to her, one fist eager to punch her again, the other tightening the grip around the gun
Linksano scoffs.
YOU ‘stay back’.
He raises his blaster, aiming it squarely at Chick.
Chick tries harder to reach her magic. Everything is wrong without it. Her magic has always been there, for as long as she can remember. Even before she made a deal with the Deep Ones, her magic was always easy to use even though she couldn’t hurt anyone with it back then. She can’t understand. Where has it gone? She can still feel traces of it but it’s so hard to reach.
Chick grins at Insano and Linksano, though the pain in her jaw, hiding her confusion. With one hand she grabs a ring, on a chain around her neck, hidden beneath her robe. Chick has never needed to hold the ring in her hand before. The first piece of jewellery the Deep Ones ever gave her has always given her power by just being worn against her chest. Chick’s other hand grabs one of her deadly knives from her robe.
Es ee o’s icker (Lets see who’s quicker) Chick says aiming the blade at Insano’s heart and getting ready to throw.
Linksano spots Insano in the distance, and readies his blaster as he makes his way over to him properly. He mutters:
Well, that’s ONE way of doing things.
before stopping at Insano’s side.
Chick giggles as Molly’s screams cut off. Then suddenly someone grabs her from behind and spins her around. She has a single second to register surprise as she looks into the face of someone who looks like Wayne. Why hadn’t she felt him approach? She’s learned to recognise the signature feel of people from this universe so why didn’t she sense this man? These thoughts are interrupted as he punches her in the face.
Chick is sent flying by the punch which was far too strong to be just normal human strength alone. She lands several feet away and struggles quickly to her feet. She can already feel her jaw is broken in several places.
Bad move, she tries to say, even though it hurts to speak, what she actually says is Ad ove.
Ou ust e Inano. Ow wre ou iding from e? (You must be Insano. How are you hiding from me?) Chick asks. It’s almost as if Insano is there but not there. She can sense and see him one minute but the next he’s gone again. She tries to fill her hands full of blue flames to burn Insano but they won’t come.

*Molly’s legs suddenly buckle as she sinks to the floor, shrieking in agony. To her, it feels like someone has doused her in gasoline and set her on fire. Some of her older stitches start to bleed and some of her newer ones are torn open as she writhes on the floor.*
Chick says another word into Molly’s heir and her screaming peters out. Then she mutters the original word again and says to Molly, Now are you going to COME HERE or am I going to have to do that again?
*shrieks into the communicator* NeVeR!
Then you’ll die screaming! yells Chick them she screams into Molly’s hair again as she twists it. Molly starts screaming again.
